I headed down to the beach to enjoy the water and think. Being from California and more over a coastal city, I really enjoys the beach and what the sea has to offer. I tents to keep to myself even around my half siblings here, I is trying hard not to get into any trouble or dragged into it. I had been really hoping I could make at least one friend or at least have one person who doesn't mind me that much. I've been seeing how many others are on fairly good terms with their siblings, even some of them having friends but not me. I sighs a bit as I go and sits a good ways away from where the sea lapped against the shor. I smile in spite of myself as I start thinking of the times I would go down to the beach in my home town. I'm really hoping that could go back one day mainly to watch the sea life as I really missed hearing and seeing the lea lions for example. I'm not really too sure if I'd ever get use to the north east part of the country, but it was a really nice change to see what this part of the country has.

POV: Ada Fay Ward

Ada Fay was on her way toward the beach, she had a little thing she made and she needed to test it out of course. So as she got closer to the water she sat down and let a little seal that would dive down. She smiled a bit, at least it would swim, now she had to wait and see if it could grab some shell. As she sat down just some few inches away from the water, hoping that she would get away from the water she looked around seeing another girl siting alone. She thinks about going over to her, but the she wouldn't notices her little Shelly 1 pops up from the water.

I sigh a bit as I start thinking about how best to use her ebony staff if she has to use it in a real battle. I never like the idea of killing anyone or anything unless I have too, monsters as I really don't have a choice plus I enjoy being stealthy as I never was one to turn down a challenge. I won't be shocked if I ever have to be used as spy, scout or something like that. I start looking around and see another girl near by, I wonder who's daughter she is. I slowly get up and come over to her carefully as I'm not good with the whole making friends thing. "Hi, mind if I um, sit here?" I asked her.

Ada looks at the younger girl and smiles at her "go a head, sit down if you want to" she then looks at the sea again with curiosity waiting for Shelly 1. "Oh and I am Ada Fay Ward if you didn't know" she ad on "but I am sure you have heard of me, I am after all a great inventor" she says with a jokingly smile. But before she could talk anymore a shell came flying out of the water.

I sit down shaking my head. "I have plus we've met before when I first got here and I'm Serenity Rose O'Hara, not sure if anyone knows about the loner daughter of Hermes who has a uncanny knack for getting into trouble without trying, I have to say I wonder how our fathers feel about our lots in life?" I told her smiling a bit. I had heard of her and she was the one who made my staff and dagger since no one else would bother since I had a vision of how they were to be figuratively speaking of cores. I love what she did to make them and I am very pleased with how well they turned out.

She scratch her chin "Oh, yeah i remember you, you had a really hard designing or I would say very specific so it took me some time to get it right" she hummed a bit thinking back on that time. "But it ended good in the end" "oh before you say anything just watch out for shell flying up from the water" she ads on fast and stands up and goes closer to the water. With a loud whistle she calls back the seal, but unfortunately for Ada it didn't come slowly up. No, it jumped out of the water right at Ada with to shells on it's back. Ada fell right back with a surprised look on her face and a smile.

I chuckle a bit finding it funny. "What kind is that or did you make it your self?" I asked getting up slowly going over to them. I missed being able to get just close enough to a seal without getting attacked or bothering them. "I'm glad you got them down the way I hoped but they are far better than I could have. I had to hit one of my brothers with my staff, but in all fairness he did try to take it after all." I told her rolling my eyes. "He said something about trying to win over a daughter of Aphrodite or something like that. Which I responded by hitting him yet again for being an idiot."

She lookse up "well yeah, I did make it myself, it's for collecting shells, I called it Shelly 1, but it needs some fixing and programming as for how Shelly comes up from the water" she nods a bit for herself already on her way to thinking about what she have to do differently. But Serenity's voice called her back "Oh, yeah, well making is one of my ability, blessed by my father." She smiles hiding a hint of bitterness.

When Serenity tells her about her brother she laughs a bit "I can see why you would hit him thou, I am really happy that I don't need to live with the Hermes kids, no offence, but many of them as quit the tricksters and anyway I couldn't have lived without all the material we have here at camp." She smiles a bit while turning her seal of and putting it in her tool bag.

I nod chuckling. "I don't mind and your also unhappy over the whole, "the gods are forbidden to have anything to do with their demigod offspring." rule as well. I don't think anyone is truly happy about it. I could help you get what you need if you want, plus I'm good with money as well. I bet all our parents do have a favorite kid, I think everyone should be on even ground with their kids." I told her sighing a bit. "You know I'm from San Francisco so if you need help with making Shelly more seal like let me know." I told her as she is in a sense my cousin but all of us demigods that don't have the same parent are technically cousins so the fact we do date is a tad odd but whatever.

I nod smiling. "Well Shelly is about the of a young female." I said slowly coming over to where Shelly is and watches her closely. "You have gotten it quite close to how they are, it would be interesting to see how she'll do around other seals." I said as I pat Shelly. "They seem to help us in whatever ways they are allowed too it seems at least. Mr. D is the only one who is able to fully be involved at least, but then again we know what happened to make him babysit us." I said being very careful on how I word it for my own sake.

"I don't think many are happy as they want to be more involved than they are, I mean it's not like anyone who doesn't know about them being or isn't a demigod would be able to catch on if they saw any of our parents." I told her going into the water only to my ankles as I don't like open water at all. "I'll tell you this much if I ever go on a quest to face my fears, they might as well just tell Lord Poseidon to have fun with me." I told her my voice shaky at the thought of that.

Had her mother not meet the god, then she would probably still be working in a boring job, but she would have live a normal life. But the Ada herself would never been born, and even if her mother would had a normal life she wouldn't be living her dream. So for Ada, it was a very conflicted subject, and quit sad. With a good false smile she shakes her head "fear, well why Poseidon?" she ask looking over at the girl. "But a quest would be great to go on thou" she ads on "as long as it is destine to be successful." she the looks like she fall inn to her little bobble.

She sighs a bit. "Easy, I umm....have a fear of sharks and open water." She told her very embarrassed over that. She had almost drowned in a river as a young child but the fear of sharks isn't something she knew why she had it. Only that she does and hasn't been able to get over it. Get her into the water with sharks and she ends up freaking out. "Snakes and some spiders I can handle but never sharks. They scare me senseless." She said shuttering at the thought. "I mean as long as I'm not in the water with them, I do just fine."
